VANCOUVER – A tweet circulating on social media reportedly from B.C. Premier’s Christy Clark Twitter account is fake, says her office.
The tweet showed up a few days ago and reads:
Packing my son’s lunch for school! How about the rest of you? Lol! #ConsiderPrivateSchools
It is not known from where the tweet originated but the premier’s office says it’s “clearly not real” and adds “It’s unfortunate that anyone would fabricate something like that.”
However, Christy Clark did anger some teachers and others on social media when she took to her official Twitter account on Sunday with the following tweets:
It was not the BCTF’s decision to enter mediation however. Education Minister Peter Fassbender said that decision was made by mediator Vince Ready who was gauging whether the two sides were close enough to proceed with talks, but they were not.
