New Okanagan prison needs correctional officers

OKANAGAN — If you’re interested in a career as a correctional officer, the BC governments wants you.

BC Corrections and Justice Institute of BC are holding free information sessions to potential candidates this fall.

The sessions will be held in Osoyoos, Oliver and Penticton.

The Okanagan Correctional Centre in Oliver needs 240 correctional officers. Those positions will be filled in 2016 when the prison is scheduled to open.
