CALGARY- Golfers had to play around an unexpected hazard on a southwest course on Wednesday: a black bear.

The animal appeared on the last hole at the Earl Grey Golf Course in the community of Lakeview, prompting a call to police.

Officers on the ground and in the air tracked the bear as it moved through the community.

It eventually jumped into the Glenmore Reservoir and swam away.
