New Brunswick Liberal leader Brian Gallant has become the latest provincial politician to take the ice bucket challenge, and he had some help from a well-known friend.
Federal Liberal party leader Justin Trudeau was in New Brunswick on the weekend and was on hand with his son Xavier to do the honours of dumping ice water over Gallant’s head.
After he got soaked, Gallant challenged fellow Liberal candidates Michael Pearson and Trisha Hoyt along with New Brunswick Green Party leader David Coon.
Last week, provincial NDP leader Dominic Cardy and Premier David Alward took the challenge, which is aimed at raising awareness and money for ALS research.
