WINNIPEG – Manitoba communities were soaked by 50 to 75 millimetres of rain on the weekend.
Reston, Man., was hit hardest, according to preliminary numbers from Environment Canada, getting another 74.8 mm from Saturday until late Sunday.
Communities receiving significant rainfall were:
- Reston – 74.8 mm
- Pierson – 65.2 mm
- Virden – 64.3 mm
- Narcisse – 63.6 mm
- Deloraine – 62.9 mm
- Melita – 61 mm
- Hamiota – 60.8 mm
- Bede – 60.4 mm
- Moosehorn – 57.6 mm
- Berens River – 56.2 mm
- McCreary – 55.7 mm
- Ethelbert – 54.4 mm
- Fisher Branch – 54.3 mm
- Arborg – 51.4 mm
- Eriksdale – 51.4 mm
Businesses are still cleaning up from a downpour Thursday that caused substantial damage in Winnipeg.
