KELOWNA — The Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) is in clean-up mode, after a 1,000 litre diesel spill in its own parking lot. Brennan says a group of homeless people were kicked off the property Friday morning as well, but he isn’t pointing fingers at who may have placed the hose in the disposal tank. The hose wasn’t noticed until 6 a.m. Friday morning.

Brennan says the diesel didn’t seep into the sewer system and was contained to the parking lot and area around the tank. Because of the incident, the RDCO is reconsidering leaving the tank unlocked.
