Montreal SPCA fears for stolen pitbulls

Montreal SPCA fears for stolen pitbulls - image

The Montreal SPCA is worried about two pitbulls recently stolen from the shelter — fearing they may be used for breeding or dogfights.

The dogs were taken last Saturday when two women, posing as volunteer dog-walkers, took the dogs out a back door to a waiting accomplice.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

Security cameras caught the incident.

The SPCA plans to release the videos in the hopes they will generate tips.

The dogs, Amber and Lincoln, were undergoing treatment for minor health problems so were not available for adoption.
