A fishing vessel with three people on board caught fire on the Fraser River near the Pattullo Bridge this morning.
According to the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre, it happened just before 11:30. Two nearby vessels immediately responded to help the boat, which had multiple people on board.

The three people were rescued and on board another boat when New Westminster police arrived on scene.
Flames could be seen from miles away, but have since been put out.
