TORONTO – A man is dead and another is in critical condition after a shooting Monday evening in the Jane St. and Eglinton Ave. W. area.
Police say the two were in a vehicle stopped in traffic when a man approached them and opened fire around 6:45 p.m.
The driver of the vehicle, a 24-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 23-year-old passenger was sent to Sunnybrook Hospital in critical condition. He’s expected to survive.
Police have not released any names or information about the suspect.
Authorities believe the men were targeted and are asking anyone with information to contact police.
