The body of the 40-year-old woman was discovered in a field near Herschel last Saturday by a volunteer searcher. Her remains were identified through dental records on Monday.

King was first reported missing on August 6 and her PT Cruiser was found submerged in a slough four days later.

RCMP are treating King’s death as suspicious, but no one has been arrested.
