New West Police looking for groping suspect

VANCOUVER – New Westminster Police are on the hunt for a suspect in a groping assault.

On Wednesday at 11 a.m. the female victim was walking alone in the 1800-block of 7th Avenue when she passed a man who appeared to be urinating in public.

The woman continued walking for a couple of blocks when the man sneaked up behind her and groped her in a sexual manner. When the victim screamed the suspect took off on foot.

He is described as a white man in his 30s, 5’10 and clean shaven. At the time of the assault he was wearing a grey touque, green T-shirt, beige shorts, white running shoes and white socks pulled up to his knees.

Police in New Westminster are asking anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
