The daughter was taken to Vernon Jubilee hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Both occupants were wearing seatbelts said police, however the 52 year-old may have not been wearing hers correctly, choosing to wrap the shoulder belt under her arm.

Police say speed appears to be a factor.

The crash is currently under investigation by the B.C. Coroner’s Service and RCMP.
