Suspects wanted in Edmonton jewelry store robbery - image

Photos have been released of two suspects wanted for armed robbery of an Edmonton jewelry store last week.

Just after 5 p.m. on August 22, two men allegedly stole a display case full of items including Rolex watches from a jewelry store at 101st Street and 101st Avenue. Police say both suspects threatened staff with guns.

The suspects fled to a stolen car, which was driven away by a third suspect. They drove a few blocks, then switched to a second vehicle, described as a gold Chevy Cavalier with a plate starting with the letters NVE. They were last seen driving toward the river valley.

One suspect has been identified as William Israel Ramos, 21.

Ramos is described as a five-foot-seven Hispanic male. The other suspect inside the store was described as being in his early 20s, between six-foot-two and six-foot-five and 250 lbs. The driver is approximately 40 years old and wears his hair in cornrows.

Two staff members at the jewelry store suffered minor injuries.
