TORONTO – What were those bright lights hovering over Toronto Saturday night?
That’s the question many were wondering over the weekend after several unidentified flying objects were spotted in the city’s North York neighbourhood.
A number of videos have appeared online allegedly showing at least five unknown balls of light moving in formation.

In one of them, a Facebook post by Roxanna Maleki claims the objects did not appear to be airplanes.
“We still don’t have any clue what that is. This is really strange,” said Maleki in the video posted on July 26. “That’s not a plane. That does not look like a plane.”
Another video posted on YouTube by Sarah Chun appears to show four bright objects lined up over a Toronto neighbourhood in the Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue area.
The close encounters left many wondering if the lights could have been something more terrestrial-based or maybe reflections of some sort.

One Toronto police officer even took to Twitter to chime in on what he thought was a quadcopter.
Toronto police later did confirm they received several calls on the sightings which occurred between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Whether they were just paper lamps or even kites, the flying objects sure kept onlookers guessing.
