Riders General Manager Brendan Taman said it was a hard decision to make but one that needed to be made.

“As the season has progressed we have become increasingly concerned with the direction the club has been going. We are committed to winning this season and felt this was the best course of action to get the team back on track,” said Taman.

Marshall was hired to take over for Miller after he stepped down as head coach at the end of the 2010 season.
