PIERREFONDS, QC – Residents in Pierrefonds want their borough to stand with them in a fight against the AMT.
A group wearing yellow squares and armed with a 300-signature petition attended the borough council meeting Monday.
The transit commission plans to bring in paid parking spaces at several of its train stations, including the Pierrefonds-Roxboro station.
Opponents say the move would discourage people from using public transit and would punish those who may not be able to afford the cost of a train pass and a parking pass.
