Beat the heat at Edmonton’s outdoor pools

The outdoor pool outside Edmonton's City Hall was closed on Thursday, July 10, 2014. It's scheduled to reopen on Friday.

EDMONTON-  Summer is prime time for swimming, but one pool was out of commission on Thursday.

The City Hall pool is closed for regular maintenance so a valve can be unblocked, according to city officials. They anticipate the pool will be back up and running on Friday, just in time for the oncoming heat wave.

To keep cool, the city’s other outdoor pools remain open.

The locations and hours can be found below:

Queen Elizabeth: 11 AM to 7PM weekdays

9170 Walterdale Hill 

Oliver: 11 AM to 7 PM

10315 119 Street

Mill Creek: 11 AM to 9 PM

9555 84 Avenue

Fred Broadstock: 11 AM to 7 PM

15720 105 Avenue

The Borden Park Outdoor Pool is closed for redevelopment. It’s scheduled to re-open in 2016.
