Toronto police make another arrest in alleged human trafficking ring

TORONTO – Toronto police say they’ve made one more arrest in a human trafficking investigation that has already seen dozens of charges laid.

Police were seeking 21-year-old Darren Letts of Toronto on a series of charges, including trafficking a person under the age of 18, procuring someone to become a prostitute and sexual assault.

They say he was arrested Wednesday and now faces additional charges, including carrying a concealed weapon and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Ten others, including three youths, were arrested in recent weeks in what police are calling Project Dove.

Police say they are still seeking 19-year-old Jason Bartley of Toronto on trafficking, prostitution and child porn carges.
