FREDERICTON – RCMP are investigating after Fredericton’s Kingswood Park has been met with three consecutive nights of vandalism at their golf course.
Staff pulled a golf cart out of a pond Monday morning, one of about 12 destroyed by vandals over Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
“The membership and the golfers have been very supportive, they want to get a crew together and stay out here at nights and catch them themselves,” said Kingswood’s Director of Golf, Chris Billings.
Billings says there’s about $100,000 in damage to the carts and several greens.
“The biggest thing is that we hope there’ll be some repercussions to their actions, rather than just a slap on the wrist. We want something to be done about this.”
RCMP are continuing to investigation and ask the public to contact them or Crime Stoppers if they have any information connected to the incidents.
