Two pedestrians were left with serious injuries following a crash in Surrey this morning.
Witnesses told RCMP they saw a GMC van travelling southbound on 148th Street that was hit by a Tacoma pick-up truck going westbound on 88th Avenue. shortly after 8 a.m. The impact of the collision sent the truck into a bus stop where two unidentified females were waiting for a bus.

One of the female pedestrians suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital while the other female was left with minor injuries. The drivers of both vehicles remained at the scene and are cooperating with police.
The Surrey RCMP’s Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) is working on determining the actions of both drivers prior to the collision.
Currently 88th Avenue is closed while RCMP continue investigating the scene of the accident.
