TORONTO – A visitation will be held today and a funeral on Friday for an off-duty Toronto police officer who was killed in a crash on Tuesday.
Const. Riccardo Torchia died when his motorcycle collided with a dump truck on Highway 7 near Highway 50 in Vaughan.
The cause and circumstances of the crash are still being determined by investigators with York Region police.

The visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Fratelli Vescio Funeral Home in Woodbridge.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, also in Woodbridge.
Torchia, who was 30, was the third police officer in the GTA to lose his life this year.
In January, Toronto police Sgt. Ryan Russell was killed in the line of duty when he tried to stop a stolen snowplow.
York Regional Const. Garrett Styles was killed n June when he was dragged by a van he had attempted to stop in the Newmarket area.
