Many parents are happy to see their children head back to the classroom.
Most surprising, many of the kids weren’t upset about missing a month of summer.
“We get a longer break in the fall so that kind of works better,” said one student Global News spoke with.
Students and parents say having more frequent breaks makes carrying the workload a little easier throughout the year and makes holiday planning more convenient.
Students in mainstream schools return the first week of September.
The Calgary Public board also offers year-round studies but classes don’t begin until August 15th.
