LUMBY, B.C. – Mounties say a 51-year-old woman is dead and a man is in hospital with a gunshot wound after an apparent homicide and attempted suicide in B.C.’s north Okanagan.
RCMP Const. Kris Clark says police were called to a residence Thursday evening and found the woman’s body and the man suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Clark says a BC Air Ambulance flew the man to Kelowna General Hospital where he is in serious condition and in police custody.
Police will consult with Crown counsel and Clark expects charges to be laid.
The RCMP and the BC Coroners Service continue their investigation.
