TORONTO – Environment Canada has confirmed an EF-1 class tornado touched down in Stroud on Tuesday.
The Stroud tornado confirmation means two tornadoes touched down in southern Ontario during Tuesday’s severe weather—the other causing severe damage in the small town of Angus around 5:20 p.m.
The weather agency says the tornado formed in Stroud at approximately 5:30 p.m. with winds between 155 km/h and 175 km/h.
