Town of Mount-Royal car crash leaves one driver in critical condition

MONTREAL- A woman in her 50s is in critical condition, after the convertible she was driving collided with a pick-up truck.

The accident happened in the early morning of Saturday, at the corner of Rockland Street and Jean-Talon, in the Town of Mount-Royal.

The woman was going southbound on Rockland, while the 30-year-old driver of the pick-up truck was heading west on Jean-Talon, on his way to work.

According to Montreal Police  spokesperson, Simon Delorme, an impartial witness stated that one of the drivers had burnt a red light.

Delorme, confirmed that SPVM investigators were on sight and that the intersection would remain closed while accident reconstruction specialists examined the scene.
