Edmonton police locate missing man

EDMONTON – Edmonton Police have located a 59-year-old man who was reported missing Wednesday afternoon.

Larry Tchir, who lives with Down Syndrome and dementia, reportedly walked away from his group home near 73 Avenue and 189 Street at approximately 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Group home staff members believed he may have taken a bus to west Edmonton.

The 59-year-old is described as being a very low functioning individual, 5″2′ tall, with a slim build and short grey hair.

He was last seen wearing a blue and white long sleeve plaid shirt, black shoes, black baseball cap and sunglasses.

Shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday, police said the man was located safe and unharmed.
