Five World War II service and honour medals have been taken from a 96-year-old war veteran from Surrey during a break-and-enter last month.
The theft occurred sometime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on May 30 at his home in the 14200 block of 56th Avenue.

A framed certificate of appreciation for his dedicated service is also missing.
No suspects have been arrested.
Police are asking for anyone with information to give them a call. They are also appealing to the thieves to do the right thing and return the stolen items.
