A popular Whyte Avenue thrift store, which managers say had become a kind of community hangout, is shutting down to make way for a new Shoppers Drug Mart. The Salvation Army shop, at the busy corner of 82nd Avenue and 109th Street, will close its doors on Wednesday after three years in operation.
