TORONTO – Severe thunderstorms rolled across southern Ontario and Quebec on Tuesday spawning several thunderstorm watches and warnings.
The storms began in southern Ontario early Tuesday afternoon, producing heavy rain, hail, and strong winds in some areas north and east of the city.
Environment Canada issued severe thunderstorm watches for parts of southern Ontario early in the afternoon. By mid-afternoon, the storms had moved on to eastern Ontario.
Montreal also experienced severe storms on Tuesday which caused severe flooding in some areas.
