VANCOUVER – A 40-year-old man from Oregon died last Friday after falling off his bike at the Whistler Mountain Bike Park.
Whistler RCMP say the man was an experienced cyclist who was riding with three friends. He was wearing safety gear and a helmet, but at about 3 p.m. police say he attempted a jump and that is when he fell.

He suffered serious injuries and was transferred to Whistler Health Care Centre but he was pronounce dead at 6 p.m.
One of his friends riding with him is a doctor and although he treated him on scene, he was not able to save him.
