Bullets fly in central Edmonton, man injured

EDMONTON – The Edmonton Police Service is investigating a shooting in central Edmonton that ended with a man being sent to hospital.

The shooting happened near 107 Ave. and 109 St. at around 2:30 Tuesday morning.

Police say several shots were fired while the victim was stopped at a stop-light. He was struck by one bullet.

The victim drove to Groat Rd. And 111 Ave. where he called 911.

He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are investigating whether there is a link between this incident and a shooting on Sunday.

After Sunday’s shooting, a man was dropped off at the Royal Alexandra Hospital after being shot three times.
