REGINA – Police are asking for the public’s help in trying to find a man who was involved in a sexual assault over the weekend.
On Sunday, May 25th police were called to the area of Victoria Avenue and McIntyre Street where a 21-year-old woman had been sexually assaulted.
When police got to the scene they found a 21-year-old female who was sexually assaulted but an area search to look for the suspect came up empty-handed.
The victim told police she passed the suspect while walking on Victoria Avenue, and moments later heard footsteps behind her and was pulled her to the ground and sexually assaulted.
The suspect is described as male, 25-years-old, 5’7” to 5’10” with dark complexion, short, black hair and a heavy build.
The suspect was wearing dark baggy jeans and a dark t-shirt with writing on the front.
Police are reminding residents to be aware that this suspect is currently still at large and encourage everyone to take appropriate actions to increase their safety.
