EDMONTON – Fire crews were called to a south Edmonton neighbourhood Sunday afternoon, after lightning struck an area home.
The bolt of lightning cause a fire to break out in the attic of a duplex in the Rutherford neighbourhood just after 4:30 p.m. Crews had the fire under control shortly before 5 p.m.

Twenty-eight firefighters and seven trucks were called to douse the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
