TORONTO – The Gardiner Expressway has partially reopened in both directions after authorities managed to subdue a young deer that had made it onto the expressway.

The deer was tranquilized by a Toronto Zoo veterinarian.
Toronto’s ageing expressway had been closed in both directions since around noon.
