An Abbotsford police cruiser has been damaged in a collision early Sunday morning, according to investigators.
Police say an officer was driving on Townline Road near Upper Maclure at 1:30 a.m. when he spotted a vehicle roaring up behind him.
He tried to get the police cruiser out of the way in time, but was unable to.
The other car, an older model Plymouth, veered off to the shoulder of the road.

The driver is being questioned by investigators, who say alcohol may be involved in the crash.
The condition of the car also appears to be a factor.
“The right rear tire of the offending vehicle does have extensive damage… looks like he’s been driving on the rim for some time and obviously had hit something prior to hitting the police vehicle,” says Cst. Paul Walker.
No one was injured in the incident.
