Geography

A riding bridging the GTA and Hamilton, Ancaster-Dundas-Flamborough-Westdale comprises the suburban communities of Ancaster and Dundas and the vast rural parts of Hamilton west of Glancaster Road.

History

Minister of Community and Social Services Ted McMeekin has held this riding since it was created in 2004. He was originally elected in a 2000 byelection, when most of the riding was part of Ancaster-Dundas-Flamborough-Aldershot.

By the numbers

82.9% of people list English as their mother tongue, the 29th-highest in southern Ontario. It’s also 13th in median income at $32,464.
