Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for the following areas of Saskatchewan:
Amounts of up to 50 mm can be expected.
A slow moving trough of low pressure situated over Southern Saskatchewan continues to bring rain to portions of the south.
Late Monday morning the trough was located along a line from Cold Lake, to just south of Saskatoon to Rockglen and radar indicated a persistent area of rain along the line.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop Tuesday afternoon near the trough bringing further precipitation to the area along with localized heavy rainfall.
Rainfall amounts will be variable but amounts in excess of 50 mm are possible especially in heavier downpours and thunderstorms.
The showers are expected to gradually weaken tonight with conditions improving for Wednesday.
