Zola, a break-dancing gorilla, is getting worldwide attention for his spins and fancy footwork.
On Friday June 17, the Calgary Zoo posted a short video on YouTube and Facebook. The video seems to be steadily gaining in popularity and has already been viewed over 18,000 times on YouTube.
Eight-year-old Zola is one of eight Western lowland gorillas currently living at the Calgary Zoo as part of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Gorilla Species Survival Plan. Originally from the Bronx Zoo in New York, Zola came to Calgary two years ago along with three other young gorillas.
