KELOWNA — It likely looked a lot worse than it was. A small car, crunched under a semi truck at the intersection of Gordon Dr. and Harvey Ave.
The crash happened shortly after 10 a.m.
According to witnesses the driver of a semi was turning off of Harvey onto Gordon from the middle left lane, when the car attempted to turn from the far left lane.
Police said it is common practice for a semi to make a wide turn from a non-left turn lane.
It appears the truck was already making its turn in the intersection when the collision happened.
A woman and her baby were inside the car. While they are shaken up, both are uninjured.
The driver of the semi was also walked away from the crash.
No charges or tickets have been laid as police are unable to confirm the series of events.
Traffic was stalled for about an hour and a half while the scene was cleared.
