CALGARY – Officials evacuated a southeast school on Thursday over a bomb scare.
Staff and students at Mountain Park School were forced to leave the facility just before 9 a.m.
They walked to nearby Douglasdale School, where they waited until police resolved the situation.
Everyone was allowed to return about one hour later, after officers confirmed the school was clear.
About 920 students attend the school in the 300 block of Mount Douglas Close S.E., which serves the communities of McKenzie Lake, Douglasdale and Douglasglen.
