Saskatchewan area code: Overlay Method or the Geographic Method?

Saskatchewan is getting a new area code and there are two ways to implement the new number: the Overlay Method or the Geographic Method.

The Overlay Method means the numbers will be slowly blended into our current telephone system no matter where you live (you next door neighbour could have the new area code).

The Geographic Method would involve spliting the province along some sort of line (for example north and south of Davidoson) and divide the codes north and south of that line.
