B.C. Parks turns 100 this year, and an historic Okanagan park was the scene of one of many celebrations taking place around the province.
Parks Day was celebrated at Fintry Provincial Park Saturday.
The park is one of about 1,000 parks and protected areas in B.C.
The scenic lawns of the Fintry Manor House on the west shore of Okanagan Lake hosted many events for the occasion.
The fair will become an annual event.
There are 13 million hectares of B.C. Parks, which is the third largest park system in North America behind the U.S. National Park Service and Parks Canada.
