Financial boost for Saskatchewan rural roads

SASKATOON – The provincial government announces $25.5 million in funding Tuesday for 80 road, bridge and culvert projects in rural Saskatchewan.

Funding will cover a portion of the cost for projects in 64 rural municipalities where roads have been impacted by increased truck traffic.

“The rural municipal grid road system is an important part of the network that gets our exports to market,” said Don McMorris, Saskatchewan’s highways and infrastructure minister.
