Neighbour Prevents Fire from Spreading

PENTICTON – A neighbour is being credited with spotting an early morning  fire and preventing it from spreading to a Penticton house.

Flames broke out at 6 am outside a house in the one thousand block of Forestbrook Drive when an exterior  wooden table had caught fire.

Fortunately the neighbour managed to alert the tenants in the house before flames spread to the structure.  The table fire resulted in some minor stucco damage.

Fire investigators are looking into two possible causes.  One is a smoldering cigarette.  The other is a faulty exterior light right above the table.

No one was injured.

The stucco that was slightly scorched  has already been painted over as the house is for sale.
