Despite a very challenging spring, crops across Saskatchewan are starting to make some progress.
More than 80 percent of the hay crop is rated as good to excellent in quality. 19 percent of the crop has been cut.
As far as the fall cereals, 62 percent are at the normal stages of development. 53 percent of the spring cereals, 52 percent of the oilseeds and half of the pulse crops are behind normal development.
The majority of crop damage seen across the province is due to disease, hail and flooding.
