PotashCorp president and CEO stepping down

SASKATOON – PotashCorp of Saskatchewan Inc. announced on Sunday that Bill Doyle will step down as president and CEO.

After 15 years of leadership, Doyle will step down but will remain employed with the company as a senior advisor through June 2015.

Doyle has been with PotashCorp for 27 years.

The company’s board of directors has appointed Jochen Tilk as the new president and CEO, effective July 1.

“The Board undertook a rigorous, three-year selection process for the new CEO that included the use of international executive search firms and a review of both internal and external candidates,” said Dallas Howe, chairman of the board.

Tilk has three decades of experience in the mining industry, most recently serving as president and CEO of Inmet Mining.

“I’m excited about the potential for PotashCorp and look forward to moving to Saskatoon to take up my new duties,” said Tilk.

PotashCorp is the world’s largest fertilizer company and plays an integral role in global food production.
