The summer of 2011 will bring together Indigenous people from across North America to Edmonton, Leduc and Enoch Cree Nation for 6 days of sports, education, and cultural awakening. The Games’ theme is: “Reclaiming Our Youth”, and will be carried out through implementing the Indigenous educational philosophy developed by Dr. Martin Brokenleg, – The Circle of Courage. Dr. Martin Brokenleg will be the games special guest who will attend and speak at all special events. He will also facilitate workshops throughout the week of July 17 – 21, 2011.
