March 31, 2014. It’s the end of March and it’s still way below the normal high of 10 for this time of year. While I can’t say that March is going out like a lion, one can argue that it’s going out like a feral lamb. If there is such a thing.
Today we headed over to the Canadian Marshal Arts gym to talk to Lee Mein about his upcoming Rumble In The Cage on April 5. A number of years ago I did a segment with Lee where I said, “So why don’t you show me your best take-down move.” Why I asked him to do that I’ll never know. Within seconds he had me on the floor twisted like a pretzel. Today I thought it would be kind of funny to do a promo where he puts me in a choke hold. (You’d think I’d have learned.) I swear I died for a couple of seconds. It proved that I definitely am not cut out for the MMA. We also talked to a couple of up and comers, Josh Heinze and Derek Boyle. We may see them on the big stage one day.
We also talked to Duncan Lloyd of the Lethbridge Archaeological Society. A prestigious archaeologist Dr. David Peck will at the Library April 1 at 7pm. He was supposed to be here last December but there were weather issues. (I can’t believe that.)
