RICHMOND HILL, Ont. – A judo instructor from Richmond Hill is facing charges after being accused of assaults against four of his young students.
York Regional Police allege assaults took place against students who range in age from six to 14, while the boys were enrolled at a martial arts club in the community just north of Toronto.
Viktor Sokolovski, 57, is charged with eight counts of assault, four counts of assault with a weapon and uttering death threats.
He is due in court today in Newmarket.
Police say there may be more alleged victims and want to hear from anyone with information.
