Trevor Adams was born in Moncton, N.B., but moved to the Halifax-area with his family where he pretty much grew up. As a kid he enjoyed spending a lot of time outdoors which sparked his interest in weather – especially summer thunderstorms!
Of course he still loves being outdoors and enjoys walking or swimming whenever the weather permits. Trevor spends as much time on my back deck in the summer as possible with family and friends.
Trevor completed his meteorological training from Mississippi State University, which where he also got his Master’s degree. He has been working in weather for over 10 years now – locally, here in the Maritimes , and nationally.
Besides doing the weather, he has also been a high school, college and university teacher. He currently teaches courses in Weather and Geography at a Saint Mary’s University and, call him crazy, he’s trying to finish his doctoral degree.
He enjoys travelling and has been all over North America. He really likes meeting new people and hearing their stories.
And for the curious, here are some interesting facts about Trevor.
He loves languages and knows French, American Sign Language and some Spanish. He’s left-handed, sings well in the shower and enjoys training in acrobatics – for real!
